Hell if they don’t add it in the end, I’ll try and make a mod for it if it’s possible (Don’t know if the modding tools are robust enough to do something like that or if I would be capable really). 343 Industries studio head Bonnie Ross confirms that all future Halo FPS games will have split-screen. Honestly, IDK how many players are interested in Split-Screen but I’ll make my case.

Thanks for the advice, I might make a post about it on Waypoint though I prefer these forums. According to Spencer the reason the newest game in the series from 343 Industries doesnt have split-screen is because fewer older people actually make use of split-screen gameplay and when.
I honestly think compared to everything else they need to do, with the limited manpower they already have, I'd rather them focus on getting the games out with all the more important features and fixing the games first. Even though I think it should be added for those that want to use it. No reason to not have the feature in the future though. Fans breathed a sigh of relief having previously been disappointed to see this feature missing in Halo 5. I can understand bugs and other technical issues being a priority over Split-Screen, I don't disagree with you there. Some of that cut content includes the ability to play Infinite’s campaign in split-screen local co-op, a feature that 343 Industries promised would be in its future games after player uproar at. As for a server browser, I think that will become useful once modding becomes fully implemented but I also think that should be part of the game. Future Halo games specifically the franchise’s first-person shooter entries will bring back split-screen features, a longtime staple of the series that was dropped for 2015’s Halo. I'm not asking for its immediate release but I would like for it to be confirmed as something we can expect in the future. They don't even have server browser's yet, audio fixed and plethora of other things that are more important.
